Letra de Good Days
Nothing could be better than beautiful weather
On a Saturday
Ball, bat, turn around your baseball cap
Round the base, home run, celebration overdone
And the sun goes down and the sky turns dark
And you don't want to go home not leave Carston's park
You promised to meet the next day pick it up from the start

I miss the good days
Oh I miss the good days

Riding on my box back home
Hitting fireflies on the front lawn
I remember that red wiffle ball bat
Fireworks we lit up the sky
Reminding us that the fourth of July was coming up
Sneak Dad's beer in a cup
I miss those days
I miss my old friends
I sure hope sometime we'll reminisce
And we'll laugh and we'll talk
And remember way back when

When we would sit back and never worry bout a thing
We just prayed that that grass came up thick and green
So we could lay down at night and wish on the stars up above us
That's what we liked to do when we were young
And now all we want to do is you-know-what
I guess that's part; I guess that's part of growing up

And the girls collected butterflies
As the boys set up the slip and slide
And we all eat lunch
In our swimming trunks
Then we would talk what we'd be
Laugh, and when we grew up and how we'd drink wine
Cause that's what you do
At your neighbor's barbeque
We did what we wanted
No one could have stopped us
We were young, energetic, vibrant, and rebellious

We would sit back and never worry bout a thing
We just prayed that that grass came up thick and green
So we could lay down at night and wish on the stars up above us
That's what we liked to do when we were young
And now all we want to do is you-know-what
I guess that's part, I guess that's part of growing up

I'll never forget the day I felt so alone
Waving goodbye to the moving van
As she left her friends and her home
That was the first time I knew I was not a kid
Nothings suppose to hurt quite as bad as that did
I tasted the tears falling down on my lips
I realized everything I'd begin to miss
Life was changing
Times were changing
I wish could go back to the days I relaxed back when I was just a kid

When I would sit back and never worry bout a thing
Just prayed that that grass came up thick and green
We could lay down at night and wish on the stars up above us
That's what we liked to do when we were young
And now all we want to do is you-know-what
I guess that's part; I guess that's part of growing up
