Kyoto Pond Letra

tent city and cruiser's cove
i sent my cat out to live in the park
in the west end where things get dark
i pour some food out, i left the bag
held her close and cut off her name tag

i took a girl out to walk in the park
we were down at kyoto pond
leaning over to feed the eels
she started screaming, down on her knees
"there's a cat sunk in the pond"
she was turning, i swear, accusing me
i got up and walked away
never returning to that sad place
