Another day I'm on my own, I'm wondering just why I'm starving for a third day in a row. And this has gotten a little ridiculous, this cant be the American dream that you taught me back in high school. This isn't right, something went wrong probably a long time ago and my mom she goes to bed hungry, while she feeds her family, she cries herself to sleep this isn't right. They built us up on false hope, with empty promises in broken homes. And now we're forced to pay the price for their mistakes, this isn't right. This is a fucked up generation and we cant hold true to beliefs that don't mean shit today and we'll make it through another day if we break free from these chains that bind. And I won't apologize.
